My Chain of Thoughts

December 20, 2012
Thoughts. What is your thought of yourself? What do people think of you? What you think of yourself really matters more then what people think of you. What you think determines what you become, who you are, or can I say how you carry yourself.
Negative thoughts is what we focus on more  when we need to focus on what God truth or thoughts are.
In Proverbs 4:1-27 it help me see the dangers of negative  thoughts and how to replace them with God's truth. I saw how my thoughts of myself and me worrying about what others thought of me affected my life and the people around me.
In Proverbs 4 The Lord is fathering to us the way he wants his children to go. I found myself being guided with this Devotion. By listening with my heart and retaining Gods word. He wants us to keep his commandments and live. Keep his word, study his word, in your heart and live. Open up and listen to what the Lord is saying and accept his truth. He wants to guide his children. He is your Heavenly father and wants whats best for his children . By seeking wisdom you will gain understanding. When you do, don't forget it. Neither polite refuse the invitation of learning from the words of his mouth. Wisdom and understanding is what I seek daily.  Wisdom will protect me. Its like a shield, when you know what the Lord says about you and what he wants for you, you don't listen to the lies people say. With wisdom comes understanding and with that comes grace. A sought of confidence about yourself. When you seek Gods word you are on the right path. That's why you hear older folks say all the time stay in the word. Or sometimes when you going through some things the first thing they ask are you still reading your bible.  Continue to read the word of the LORD.
I have to say. I been guilty of not reading or studying the word of the lord, I have been going my own way trying to do things on my own when I needed the lord to guide me to put me on the right path. Wow this devotion is hitting close.
Now here come the font. When you on the right path your steps not in a limited area. You have room to grow to move about. The Lord is with you, you wont fall. REMEMBER the teaching of the father. Hold on to his word. Don't let go of your wisdom. your ability to seek the truth from yourself because wisdom is life.
Don't be mischievous, pressing very unpleasant things to people. Avoid people who deliberately causing great harm, pain, or upset to others. Pass them by.
After studying Proverbs 4:1-27 I have came to realized my thoughts was I was seeking approval from the people around me. I cared so much about what they think of me a to the point that I started thinking negative of myself. When you focus on what god thinks of you and what he wants of you and stay in his word you will gain a certain confidence about yourself to the point that when you come across people that see to want to hurt you you you will know to run...its not you. There nothing wrong with you. the Lord warns you about people like this in the bible. read Proverbs 4:1-27. Its there. God wants to have a personally relationship with you. A father daughter, father so relationship. he wants you to listen to what he has to say about you not what others have to say. Our God is an awesome God!!
